    Why You Should Follow: This DJ and producer -- best known for creating the Mad Men theme song -- has been on tour since the beginning of January and just released his fourth album, The Collussus. In between shows, he stays close to his Twitter page, posting step-by-step Twitpics as he makes seafood gumbo and "deluxe PB&J," tweeting back and forth with fans, and dispensing advice to fellow musicians, like Grammy star Ms. Swift: ("message to taylor: eat a fuckin burger already. those skinny ass arms are not workin. dont they grill hard in nashville?"). Expect lots of hilarious tweets about food ("Lemme see a show of hands: who's baking cookies this week? Anyone making thumbprint cookies w/ fruit preserves?"), travel ("Had to dust off this old chestnut:the 6am airport run. So timeless, so classic, and yet simultaneously so 2009"), and Philadelphia, where he lives ("Hey north philly, maybe chill with the molotov cocktails, ok? that shit is unsettling").

    Why You Should Follow: This indie-pop singer-songwriter's tweets are just as delightfully whimsical as her music. When she's not live-tweeting old re-runs of Roseanne or posting pictures of her fifth grade self, she's musing about farts ("how long does it take a fart to develop? from eating the offending food to tooting. how long? i can not find this info anywhere"), self-assurance ("i am eating a burger king chicken sandwich by myself in burger king. that's confidence!"), and the downfall of the music industry ("autotune has replaced talent… remember the lemonheads? nirvana? the lemonheads? sinead? i miss the funky notes"). Her honesty and sense of humor are endearing ("is it good or bad when the only person who texts you 'happy new year' is your mom?") and her words of wisdom are well worth re-tweeting ("our lives are brief. tell someone you love them. cry. eat good food. make something that you are proud of. live your life with big joy").

besides me, but I've been trolling since before Adam was even on American Idol.
maybe some people already read SPIN and commented, or maybe they had American Idol on google alerts?
Why are you remembering the names of people who comment on posts about Adam? Creepy much?

Surprised Ingrid Michaelson is not following Lambert. She's a huge fan. Actually I think they may know each other.

The trolls are almost always fans of other Idols. I like how that DC fan down there promoted Cook when this article is not even about American Idol ! Lambert's moved WAY past Idol, he moved past Idol a long time ago. Which is one of the reasons I like him.

I hate Idol but I like Adam a lot. He's so anti-Idol, can hit every note on the guitar, has brains and is hilarious in interviews

It's interesting the trolls always come out when Lambert is mentioned.
It's always the same people too, do they have him on Google Alerts? LOL.

I suggest they return once they have well-respected musicians and film legends on their side and wanting to work with them, as Lambert does.

His fans range from Zeppelin, Queen, Slash, Steven Spielberg, Tyler, Madonna, Tim Burton, Paul McCartney, Rob Marshall, Muse, Cuomo, Linda Perry, Bryan Singer to Stephen Fry.

Speaking of Fry, someone should tell Adam to get back to him. He tweeted him: RT @stephenfry @adamlambert Having dinner with Bryan Singer - trying to persuade him to be on Twitter. He says he knows and loves you. As do we all x

I luv Adam's tweets, very entertaining, and always promoting or supporting other artists. I find his choice of words/vocab very facsinating!!! BTW, this is not IDOL competition or Idolforums, it's about individuals and what the writer of this blog finds interesting. Comments about other former Idols are not relevent.

Adam was a GlamRock Phenom the moment he hit the Idol stage, just a year ago. I heard the first few notes of Bohemian Rhapsody, sat bolt upright in my comfy chair and said something incoherent like, " OMG Listen to that guy!!!" about 45 times.

His Tweets are hilarious, from his first few Tweets dubbing stupid posts as Twats to the latest one letting us know he was taking a long-overdue break... "Ciao!!! Vacation!!!"

Adam constantly gives props to his friends and fellow Idols, congratulating them whenever they have a new release, receive an award or have something good happen to them in their lives.

I'm uber-happy that he's been recognized for his Twitter page! I'm going to Tweet him and let him know! Thank you so much, that's so sweet of you!

Hey, it ain't a competition between Idols. I really like a lot of Adam's tweets, but I hope everybody else's most interesting Idols also get profiled here other weeks. :)

I am sure this news outlet will discuss Cook, Archie etc, it is trio of the WEEK...for now it is about RJD, Ingrid and Adam. RJD is as funny as they get, don't know Ingrid, but Adam I like his interviews so I guess I will have to follow him for a while. Cook and Archie have been out for a while longer then Adam, everyone wants to compare when in reality its a tad premature, but I have to say Adams band can rock the house too. I was at Gridlock and it was great.

The only problem I have with Adam's tweets is that they are not frequent enough. I do completely agree that they are entertaining though.

I love DC but all half his tweets are about sports! Boring! But he does also tweet about the recording process which is cool.

Adam has gotten much better at tweeting. He used to be boring for the most part-- only tweeting to recommend a song or support a friend.

I could listen to him talk all day...he's one of the best interviewees around.

Actually I am getting "TOO MUCH" Adam Lambert right now and I find his twitter meh. I do like Adam but feel he is being push too much and it is wearing..too much of the same rehash little with the music. Adam is hardly a "Glam Rock Phenomenon" yet!

Actually the most interesting singer from Idol to follow on twitter is David Cook (@thedavidcook). He's funny, witty, self-deprecating, sincere. And he is a true star, one who played a successful 150-date tour last year. Nothing against Lambert, but Cook's band really rocks in concert - check out the YouTubes.
