Media Kit 2010

25 YEARS OF REVOLUTION, 25 YEARS OF EVOLUTION

From the concert stage to the dressing room, from the recording studio to the digital realm, SPIN magazine surveys the modern musical landscape and the culture around it with authoritative reporting, provocative interviews, and a discerning ear. Through a combination of thoughtful reporting, authoritative analysis, and compelling art and photography, we direct our readers toward the cultural trends that will impact and shape their lives.

A CELEBRATION

SPIN 25 is a celebration of a quarter-century of history-changing music and the magazine that has chronicled it all. SPIN 25 is a commitment to looking back while looking ahead. Over the next 10 issues, SPIN magazine, SPIN.com, and SPINearth.tv will all showcase our extensive archives of superb writing, photography, and trendspotting, as well as create original, commemorative editorial packages. At the same time, we will use our editorial prowess to try to discern what the next 25 years of music will be like. SPIN 25 will include special issues, editorial retrospectives and projections, lists, events, and performances—the centerpiece being SPIN’s 25th anniversary issue in May 2010, which will feature the 250 greatest music moments of the past 25 years.
